Rules of TKOC! |
The main rule of this game is to have fun, but totally ruining the fun for another player is
not considered as "having fun", and will not be tolerated.
This is not a democracy, and decisions made by the administrators are in general final. If
you feel the decision is faulty in any way, feel free to contact any admin and we might
consider discussing the matter once more. Making a public discussion of issues conserning punishment/protection
will not be tolerated.
Players must be aware that they have no actual
rights on in this game, other than the right not to play, not register, or get their account removed.
It is a player's responsibility to have read these rules, and other associated helpfiles. Ignorance
of these rules is not an acceptable excuse for breaking them.
Breaking any of the rules listed above and below will result in some kind of punishment, this
includes:
1. Ingame punishment (loss of acres/resources and so on).
2. Have their userID/email banished.
3. Have their ip/ip-range banished(siteban).

You're not allowed to have more than one user account / province.
Users caught in having several provinces will get all their provinces
banished and they'll be flagged as cheaters. If you have special requests,
like you're a familiy playing from the same computer, contact the admins
through the forum and tell them (there will be a dedicated thread for this and
we will try to make some scritps to handle these situations). If you have
more than one account, all the people playing from the same computer might get
deleted.
-
Your username and password are yours and no one else's, so keep them to yourself.
-
You have to enter a valid email when you register and if you change it ingame.
Your password will be sent to the e-mail address you type, so make sure you're
entering a valid one. As this is a non-profit game, originally made as a school
project, we promise not to give your e-mail to anyone. Also, some spam filters might
stop our mail from reaching you. To prevent this, put "prosjekt@pad.thurmann.net" in
your allowed list. If you don't recieve the mail, try the "forgot my password" link
on the login page.
-
You have to enter correct information about yourself.
Users with false/bogus information will be closed down at sight. We might include a special bonus
or happening on your birthday, give stats on which countries our users are from and
so on, but we promise not to give away any personal information.

Behave.
Don't use your worst language/ words, don't name your province / kingdom / ruler
or use banners that might count as racism etc. We want this game to be a game for
everyone, children, adults, grandpa, so keep that in mind, and everything should
be alright.
-
Your province is YOUR province.
You should never let someone else get your username or password to log into your
account.

Behave.
Don't use your worst language/ words. We want this game to be a game for
everyone, children, adults, grandpa, so keep that in mind, and everything should
be alright. You should never attack or harass other people in any way, BUT this
game allows for roleplaying in that dedicated thread, and you may of course play
your role. Just don't bother people. Use your senses, and it should be ok.
-
Do not post information about provinces in the world forum.
Information gathered by thief operations, results from an attack and so on do
not belong in the world forum. You may send information between kingdoms with
the message system and post such information in your kingdom forum only.
-

Users not respecting this will be banished
-

Doing this might get you banished.
-

Doing this might get you banished.

Sometimes things do not work the way they're intended to. This
is generally obvious. If you find something that you think is a bug you
are obligated to report it.
Taking advantage(make your province grow using unethical means) of bugs is considered cheating
Excuses like: "I didn't realize it was a bug" will generally NOT be accepted.
Example:
I didn't realize that changing the url to access features otherwise not accessible was a bug.
OF COURSE thats a bug.
